STILL WOOZY

It is a known entity that Still Woozy, the brainchild of Sven Gamsky, is a talented musician, who consistently releases quality alternative music, blending elements of funk, lo-fi psychedelia, and RnB. His tracks are characterized by classic 808 beats, unique guitar tone profiles, and dreamy melodies. This recipe has helped the artist cultivate a large following but his live performances have set him apart. He has a quirky yet confident stage presence—an infectious energy that is as endearing as it is captivating.

The surprising element of his recent performance at Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta was not Still Woozy’s undeniable charisma, but the sheer talent of his accompanying band. Bands are often overshadowed by their frontman, Still Woozy’s band brought a fresh dynamism to the live experience, turning what could have been a straightforward set into a full-blown theatrical performance.

Each member brought immense personality, but not in a way that felt distracting or like jockeying for attention. Bass player Tani Kahn, also known by her stage name Legwurk, was a clear crowd favorite. Legwork is a close personal friend of Still Woozy and won over the audience by spinning and jumping in her flowy, petal pink dress in a manner that radiated joy.

As Still Woozy moved across the stage, ensuring every corner of the venue felt equally seen, his bandmates took full advantage of the space. They ran in circles, chased each other, and played in ways that mimicked conversation. The band’s playful interactions added an element of spontaneity to the performance, giving the audience the impression that they were witnessing something truly unique and in the moment; a one-of-a-kind performance.

Through the designed chaos, the band maintained tight musicianship. The performance was more than just a showcase of musical talent; it was about connection—not just between the musicians, but between the performers and their audience. Even in a 3,600-capacity room, the show felt intimate.

In a world of increasingly produced and meticulously orchestrated concerts, Still Woozy’s Atlanta performance stood out for its raw authenticity, driven by the chemistry of a band that ultimately, knows how to have fun.
